Mr. Culver is a serial entrepreneur, investor, executive and scientist.
He is Founder, Chairman of IdealHire, Inc. of Phoenix, Arizona.
IdealHire was formed in June 2001 as a leveraged buyout from Pentawave,
Inc. where Mr. Culver had been the principle investor since 1997.
He
has 20 years experience in the staffing industry. In 1985, he found Lab
Support, Inc. and raised 2 rounds of venture capital to fund and
develop the business. In 1989 he successfully recruited a CEO who
further developed the Company and took it public on NASDAQ in 1992 as
“On Assignment, Inc.” (symbol ASGN). In 1990 Mr. Culver Co-founded
Professional Staff, plc., a UK specialty staffing business serving;
Science, Telecommunications, IT, and Interim Management industries. He
served as Chief Executive, Chairman and Deputy Chairman until September
2001. The Company went public on NASDAQ in 1996 (symbol PSTF) and was
privatized in 2003. In 1993 he acquired California Distribution, Inc
and logistics, warehouse, distribution and transportation company. Mr.
Culver is an active angel investor and currently holds investments in 8
companies. In 1994 Mr. Culver provided the angel investment funding and
is a director for Taser International, Inc. (symbol TASR) of
Scottsdale, Arizona. Between 1971 and 1985, he was an executive,
manager and scientist in the scientific instrument industry. He was
employed by: Bausch & Lomb/ARL, Hach Company and Varian Associates.
Bruce Culver also serves as a Trustee for the Santa Barbara Museum of
Natural History.
Mr. Culver obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the
University of South Dakota and a Master’s of Science in Analytical
Chemistry from Montana State University.
Mr. Culver has lived in the Conejo Valley for 22 years with his wife Donna.
