Finance focuses on making optimal decisions about utilizing financial resources under uncertainty and risk. MVS offers a Finance option that can be completed in 1 year (2 semesters). To graduate with a business degree with a specialization in Finance will require successful completion of 4 upper-division finance courses (prerequisite: FIN 300) that will equip students with more specialized skills and tools to be able to process, interpret, and analyze problems in various financial contexts. Typically, FIN 411 (Corporate Financial Management) and FIN 413 (Investment Analysis) are offered in the Fall; FIN 410 (Financial Markets and Institutions) and FIN 412 (International Finance and Derivatives) in the Spring.
