
Finance focuses on making optimal decisions about the use of financial resources under uncertainty and risk. The Martin V. Smith School of Business & Economics offers a Finance Emphasis that can be completed in one year (two semesters).
To graduate with a business degree with a specialization in Finance, students must successfully complete six upper-division finance courses (prerequisite: FIN 300). These courses equip students with the analytical skills and tools needed to process, interpret, and solve problems across a variety of financial contexts.
